I liked the Deus Ex theme so much I downloaded the MP3.Well I want it to play
when I start Windows 98. It wont play a MP3
of course so I convert it from an MP3 to a Wave with a converter. Well it worked and I put it in my default folder C:\WINDOWS\MEDIA and use it and it wont play.Has anyone else
tried this or may know whats wrong? I have tried both settings,CD quality compatible
mode and Decode MP3s to best suited wave format. All help is greatly appreciated.

What program do you use to listen to music, and what program did you use to do the converting?

The PlayCenter 2 that came with my SoundBlaster x-gamer 5.1. I converted it with
MP3 to wave that I got from (
http://www.mp3towave.com.It) www.mp3towave.com.It converted it like it said but it just wont play.

Dude, just download Winamp, or get the latest Windows Media Player.
The Play Center stuff is garbage anyway. I don't have version 2, but whatever version mine is, it locks up every time I try to use it, so I don't have it installed.

The problem isnt with playing the mp3s or waves if I just want to play them, I just cant get Win98 to play one of converted mp3s
as windows starts.Any other wave file that I put into my MEDIA folder works its just the ones that have been converted.Thanks. <IMG SRC="shake.gif" border="0">
