. It's a pointless playstyle unless you're actully making a new FM with a target to assassinate. You can't just play any level as an assassin. otherwise you're using the word 'assassin' as a kewl and clinic way of saying 'gratuitous murderer'.
At least be honest about it and call the playstyle 'gratuitous muderer'
Man, everyone is so nit picky. Hope none of you are teachers....I would hate to have my papers graded by any of you. :joke:
Consider 'gratuitous murderer' a certainty for the next release. :thumb: Never really liked the word assassin anyway.

Except that there is no feasible way to select a mark and give an appropriate reason. Can you even have an objective to kill enemy x? Much better to leave the reason up to the imagination of the player, assuming he is equipped with such.
Well, you work within the boundaries of the game and it's limitations. The central reason for this mod was to return to the form of the two previous Thief games; where in those games is the playstyle 'Assassin' listed? I certainly don't recall being required to kill in mission after mission. In any case, you COULD definitely have it required that AI X needs to be killed for reason Y. It would require serious editing, but you COULD do it.
Imagination has the same problem that reality does; it depends on our own subjective nature. You could have all the creativity of Salvador Dali and still not be able to conjure the desire to kill.

I am again trying to run through Thief, gave up last time as I dislike a lot of changes in the minimalist mod, but can't stand the game without the thief tweaks by Mr K. :( So has anyone got this file?
