If it makes you happy, I can pretend to care Shug. I'm pretty sure you can ignore me, and I'm amused you've opted to make me your issue.

I don't want to ignore you, I want to have discussions about things and make jokes. The rich irony is that you've gotten very upset over this after previously wondering why Chimpy was taking things 'so personally' in this very thread.
You walked right into an opportunity for me to make a joke about your habit of being condescending to intelligent and valuable discussion contributors. Or, I don't know, maybe it's a possibility I thought a trained scientist didn't know what a quadrant is.

Very upset? You do know that this is a conversation on a forum right? Getting upset isn't really a risk.
If you found me condescending, I apologise. Perhaps you might have just said though rather than taking some childish passive-aggressive route of trying to be snarky.

 At the risk of general approbation, you all do know that there are these little icon thing-a-ma-bobies over to the right which you can add to a message to make it clearer what the intent of your statements are?
For example, I used  above to show that I know you know about the icons, but want you to think about using them a bit more, so that your intent can be easier to understand when you are being sarcastic  or making a joke :joke: or wrestling with a thought  or bored by a conversation :bored: or confused by someone's argument  or . . .
This all comes from not being able to hear a person's intonation in their writing, particularly in forums where the writing is less formal and sentence structures tend to be less carefully constructed. So icons should be used whenever it is possible to misunderstand your words . . .
:cheeky: ;)
