btw: i think i have a very good taste in music, thank you. and how they make me think of Thief, they just do. i dont listen to much else, sides stuff like Foo Fighters and whatnot, but that dont make me think of Thief. you have to understand, i can make some very odd associations that most simply CANT understand.

Erm, actually you didn't stick an and in, see? Also not sure how much pop music is loved around here. I get the impression that all people like on this forum is trance and ambient, those are the only real genres that have gotten attention as of late.

actually, i mostly listen to metal. i started off with power metal (iced earth, etc.) to death metal (opeth, dark tranquillity, in flames before i realized how much they suck) to doom metal (black sabbath, old anathema, electric wizard, among others) to sludge, and i've finally settled, for the time being, on "post-metal" which is less of a genre and more of a certain sound, isis being my favourite band this year.
that's not to say i don't listen to other things, though. like the aforementioned aphex twin album (i <3 ambient) and the occasional classical. i also dig anything that has the cello in it, especially if the cello is the leading part of the song.

Blind Guardian's album art sometimes reminds me of Thief. For example, take a look at the cover of their simply titled "Live" album (released in 2003), and you taffers will know what I mean.:p
Also, being a bit off-topic, "Live" is one of the best live metal albums around. Very recommended! :cheeky:
