Outside the room with the switches there are some windows looking down on the ground floor. They can be opened.
Also, you could enter the building from the ground using the door in the north-east corner.

They haven't and I checked to see if my auto-equip was enabled and anything that could be potentially causing the problem. I know full well that I have played this before so I'm a bit clueless here. Any ideas, R Soul?
Thanks again for any help.
They didn't seem to for me either - so I was trying to get the key from Grimley. But after disturbing him and couple of times and having to reload, I turned around and there the keys were, right on top of the letter. Suggest you save and then a time or two and see what happens.

I just finished playing this FM pack and loved the hell out of it! I absolutely fell for the first mission - nothing fancy, just life on the street as a Thief. Perfect, except that it really needed an automap. The second mission was a nice interlude and kept it real. The third mission was great in it's entirety and I can't wait to see what happens in the subsequent missions. I hope, R Soul, that you retain the energy from the three original missions, because out of all the FM's I've played for T1 & T2, this seemed to be among the most grounded and interesting to me.
SlyFoxx, your voice acting is good, but you punctuate even the mundane stuff as if it were the most serious thing in the world. I enjoy your work, but would suggest allowing a more natural cadence to your voice when reading your lines. Take a cue from the original voice actor - he had a sense of ease and humor to it. Take it as honest criticism, because you've lent your voice to a number of FM's and they've benefited from it.

I have the same problem - keys doesn't appear after reading the letter. reloading didn't fix anything. Anybody know what causes that problem? I can't progress in the mission without that two keys (and I know they should appear - I loaded mission with Dromed and I see some stuff which should get them into place). I really wanted to play that mini-campaign, but I stuck in that very beginning :(
FM is loaded with Darkloader on new clear install of T2 1.18, I put required custom scripts into main folder, but still no keys :(

What version of Thief 2 are you using? There's one or two versions that, even when patched, still have a scripting bug.
Try the version of gen.osm that is (
http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/another_website/T2gen.zip) in this zip file.
(That goes for anyone who can't get the keys to appear)

I'm posting that quite late, but probably still it's usefull information.
For anyone who have problems with keys not appearing.
Replacing gen.osm with the one R Soul recommended fixes the problem with keys for me.
Thank you very much R Soul

Thankyou R Soul, you are an incredible Artist! great story, great play.
I enjoyed it every second. Completed loot objective, and I loved the sweet
escape.:)

I'm just reading through the readme file for the extract scripts but where do I put the suspParm.str file as I don't have a string folder in my thief II folder?
R Soul on 1/1/2008 at 15:06
You don't need to, that file comes with the mission.
