It's a little shorcut so the servants can get access to the moat without having to go all the way to the front of the building.

AAAH Now I understand what the boss meant with his note in the guard room re. bathroom usage ;)

I finished all the named objectives a while ago (including getting the 1600 loot); but there is a lot more loot, and I'm still missing a huge chunk.
I'm about 700 short of the max. I'm not one of those thiefers who insists on getting every scrap, but that's too big of a gap even for me! I already got the tomb treasure -- just three items, right? -- a vault with a pile of fake coins sitting on a square pressure-plate that you must leave undisturbed, another vault guarded by a (now inactive) watcher that contains a bunch of footlockers, four diamonds around a fountain on the west side of the outer grounds, and all the interior rooms that I found. I know where the exit is, so I can leave anytime.
Any other big caches of loot that I missed?
The zombie trap was fun to play with, but of course, it's a ghost bust; so eventually, I had to reload from before there and avoid it. I'm pondering about whether it's a ghost bust to blow away the coal covering the entrance to the tombs... on the one hand, coal could be called property; on the other, it's really not the same as busting a door or a window or smashing a box to get some loot inside. It could even be a natural incursion. I think I'd better just declare it in the eventual ghost report and let readers sort it out.

You think the FM could be bad? I'm having trouble with my internet provider today, just staying online for 20 minutes is getting hard and the download of this FM takes over an hour. I'll try another level first and see if that has any objectives. I'll have to wait until tonight before even trying to redownload the FM. I've got to get DSL. Thanks.
It might be, I played on Expert and the objectives came up just fine.
Eek that sucks, i know i was on dialup for years and just got Cable for like the last year.
Let me know something ok?

Aha, I found a major room I missed before: the room where the guy is sleeping on the couch. The room contains three vases, a fireplace poker, and a flute. Also, I discovered that the priest in the second-floor chapel has a purse to pick, and I found a rolled-up Lost-City green tapistry behind the detached door of the ghost-writing room -- all of which brings my total up to 2714, or just 20 gp below the max.
That's probably a stray antique coin that I missed somewhere, and I'm definitely not going to scour the mission just looking for it. So I think I'll quit now with a (possible) ghost -- depending on a ruling about blowing the coal -- and almost the max loot.
The mission was a lot of fun, definitely good for sneaking. I guess I'm off to turn in the torc and get paid... well, maybe!

Everyone else is right. This is an outstanding mission pack, having lots of quality thieving, clever design and some very memorable sights(Steam train, anyone?). I even managed to overcome my loathing of secret switches, cause the missions were so well crafted.
One minor nitpick, though. Next time have a bit smaller city, this one forced the player to pointless wandering in the rain. Now, I like wandering in the rain, but I'd rather do it in Real Life.
Thumbs up :thumb:

If anyone wants a lootlist:

I made the city large so there was plenty of room to manouvre if you happened to alert one or two guards.
There's an area where you can rope arrow into some shutters, where one is open. (Not on Normal) don't let the patrolling archer see you up there :erm:

SlyFoxx slinks in with a soapbox and places it upon the ground. Climbing upon it he clears his throat and begins to speak.
R Soul has produced a classic here folks! This is about as good as it gets.
I mean bloody hell...A MOVING TRAIN!!.......I really liked the fort though it took me a while to find my way out. I got up high early on and worked my way down. Blackjack got a bit of an extra workout...I should have kept it in better check.
