By the way, the no-briefing version is now available at the Keep :)

The one with no briefing -- moc2nb.zip -- worked perfectly well for me; the previous version would lock up as soon as I got near the town hall. So I finished this time, sorta...

This level is really well done.

I can't play the version I downloaded from KoMaG without the mission briefing. It crashes everytime I try to go into the game, and it never loads, always crashes to desktop after the loadout screen.
I tried going into DromEd (1 & 2) to try and see what was going on, but D1 can't load it, and I can't go into the game in D2. Very frustrating.

I've been playing MOC2 on Expert for over four hours 'officially' now over the last three days, not counting numerous saves and restores (actual playing time is probably closer to 7-8 hours), and I have had only one crash, and that was the lock-up I mentioned earlier, on the town hall roof. I have noticed a lot of sound errors and misalignments, though. (I'm playing the moc2nb.zip version on KoMaG's site.)
Anyway, I finally figured out how to defeat you know who! :)
Here's how I managed it:
Spoiler:
(I'm speaking of the trickster, of course.) I dropped down the pit into the water facing away from him. He didn't see me. I turned around to face him and crept over to the left side (my left) of the hall. I then crept into the middle partition of the left wall without him seeing me. Then, I fired a broadhead behind him in the far right corner. When he went to investigate, I ran into the dark of the left corner and pulled out the fire sword. When he came back over to my side I rushed him and began hacking at him before he could react. It only took three or four blows. The fire sword causes a small orange eruption when it strikes his body, even after he's dead; a rather nice effect.

But I still haven't completed the game because:
Spoiler:
I can't find the @#$%! firestone, and I'm about to give up. Anyone want to clue me in?

I'd better go check it out...

Hit Deity: I don't know what to tell you. I think this particular FM really brings out the slightest incompatabilities or instabilities in one's computer! :p

KoMaG:
Spoiler:
Thanks for telling me where to find the firestone. I'm off to get it now! :) (I'm sure that I wouldn't have found it had I played another six hours.) As for the fire sword... I don't know what to tell you. It's that magic(?) sword you pick up on the way to battle the Trickster/Monroe. It's in a small room on a pedestal protected by fire arrows. I'm playing on Expert. Perhaps it's not available on Normal or Hard? Sharga could explain. He should be back soon.
