Okay, when I read your spoiler I thought I must have played this mission in my sleep so I started it again to check for the water you mentioned. There is no water, the only water is in the small fountain, and I've almost drowned myself looking for a key in there. There is not a guard there either. I start at an open spot with a fountain infront of me, in the wall next to me is a small tunnel which leads to dead end with bars infront of it. Then theres a way leading to a door (unopenable) and on the ground is a scroll for Garrett, then theres a way into the right, with two statues and bars infront of the opening. No water, no guards, and no keys, and no jump. Just that. Now I'm REALLY confused.

My computer didn't like this one very much, so I'm no expert at it, but I do remember that you have to walk down a hall with two market signs hanging over it. Walk past a gate until you reach a stone hallway, then turn left and walk to the end. Up behind the last stone arch, you'll find a switch. :)

ROFL
Gawd!!!! What a geek I am!!! I was too busy looking for an advanced way to open the gate when I didn't need to flick a switch or nothing to open it! I just had to go over to it and press the use key!! Gawd, okay now I'm embarrased. Sorry all for this unecessary Thread.

That is somewhat commical, but I wouldn't beat myself up about it, in fact I make silly mistakes like that all the time. Anyhow, if you need any more help and you are sure that you are stuck then check out the official Moc2 website and download the walkthru. :D
Good luck!
PS: Just warning you, this is a fairly complex mission, so be prepaired ;)
And when you get to a tunnel of flowing water and you keep dying when you try to surface from the water then find another way around. This is an evil bug but it won't stop you from beating the mission.

Sharga, this was a great mission. I enjoyed all the diversity and it really kept you on your toes. Like a good novel you couldn't wait to see what happened next. However, I couldn't finish it. When I jumped down the monster's throat into the water I was immediately webbed. I couldn't even get out of the pool let alone sneak up on Monroe. Very frustrating. By the way, I had the firestone but it didn't check off.

Glad you like it :D
Hmm, I've never heard the firestone objective not checking off. Are you sure you have the right one? (There isn't a fake or anything but perhaps you have something that you mistook as the firestone) If not then I guess you just have to pretend it checked off.
Can't sneak up on Monroe?
Well, it should work so that he can't see you while you're in the water and then you can pull yourself up towards the back of the room, sneak around the edge, create a diversion (like a broadhead) and run to the shadow in the corner and wait till he is no longer suspicious then attack from behind. Perhaps you just have a weapon drawn or something bucause you shouldn't be visible in the water.

Thanks Sharga, that was it. I had the sword up ready to go at him, I'm pretty sure I had the firestone because it checked off when I found it. Then I had to restore after a setto and it wasn't checked anymore. (I had saved) It is supposed to be used to open a locked door isn't it?

I think you're thinking of the fire shard.
The firestone itsn't used for anything except to be obtained.
You will find it in the forest. Search around the floor area until you come to a hole leading to some tiled halls and some spiders.
I hope killing Monroe proved satisfying. ;)

I'm pulling out my hair on this one (I've spent way too much time in front of the load screen for my liking) but am so near the end I would like to finish it. I have just pulled the third "keepers" switch and am trying to find the opening in the water hall. There is a flooded area patrolled by fire whatsits which ends in a cylindrical tunnel. Is that the right location? In another room I can't get up the pipe because I get killed everytime I try to surface. Can anyone assist?????
I have read the walkthrough by the by.

Hi Phyllis:
Just finished this one myself, yesterday. You need to go in the hall with the fireball whatsyhoozitz. Douse them and follow the right-hand rule for mazes, and you'll find the door you're looking for.
Avoid the other tunnel completely. You'll die every time you surface. Design bug, I believe.
