I try to load the fm and it says "Please insert the thief cd # 2 into the cd drive"
What's happening? I have darkloader 3.8! My thief 2 is patched! What is the problem?
Thanks

That's probably because it's a Thief1/gold mission; not a thief2.
I think they have made an error at (
http://www.thief-thecircle.com,) www.thief-thecircle.com, where i suppose you've downloaded this FM. But i didn't try it so i'm not sure.
Read the .TXT file for more details.

Yah, Moc2 is made on Thief:The Dark Project so you can only play it on TDP or thief gold.

woops! Do you have T1/G?

OOOPS!!! He he...ok guys..I am going to make a great confidence here...Since I could not find thief gold in ANY of the stores, i got a copied cd. I WOULD have bought it, but I didn't find it! Anyway, I don't have the install disc and I need to reinstall the game because now it has a nasty BUG that came along the FMs (If I try to load the game, the screen becomes black and I can only see the fully lit visibility gem). The only FMs that doesn't do that bug is Turning the tables, Calendra's and Vigil. See? I really hate that...

Thought I'd post another reply on this since I was one of the first to complain about not being able to play MOC2 in its original state.
Been away for 3 wks playing D2:LOD. Once I got my character to lvl 99 it was " ... been there, done that, let's see if there are any new missions for Thief." Noticed that the MOC2 version at the Keep was larger than the one I had already downloaded so I thought, what the heck, let's give it another try (hadn't checked the forum yet). And was pleasantly surprised. Smooth, no crashes. Got to see the architecture, bright colours, innovations, and storyline the testers were raving about. At times I ran around confused since I was a little slow at resolving some of the hints and couldn't get access to a few areas but all in all this is a fabulous mission. Now my only major complaint is that I started playing this FM at 11:30 last night and so didn't get much sleep. :D :D
Big thanks to everyone who believed that this FM was worth cleaning up. And especially to those who did the messy work. :)

Glad you enjoyed it! I am much relieved to see that this new version is way less buggy. Make sure you check out the secrets mentioned earlier. You probably better get some sleep now ;) After all it is a rather long mission. I am quite thankful to all those who helped fix this mission and help me through some serious problems.

I couldn't play the original version, either. My computer was constantly freezing up or dumping me back to Windows. I've been playing the new version for almost 1 hour, and I haven't had a problem yet! Fantastic! :D

I'm sure glad the new version is playable to nearly everyone.
Hallelujah! :)

Mission accomplished at expert level. The FM appears to be disjointed but actually it isn't (there are several hidden clues and transportation devices which greatly aid getting around). The upgrade to the blackjack was a godsend. It had some hidden attributes which came in very handy. My advice is that you pick it up as soon as you can in the game. I had left Benson until last and he actully proved harder to kill than his master. But first, I had to deprive him of his retirement fund and he would barely budge from that narrow hallway. Lots of fun and suspsense. And still no crashes. Yeh!!!
