My Hammerite Stalker... - by ercles

Like I mentioned in a previous thread, I am on my second runthrough of TDS, and I have just enountered my first real dose of wtf... I had just finished the Sunken Citadel and was strolling back into south quater from stonemarket, which puts me right around the corner from good ol' home base. Anyway I came out of the spawn zone and was expecting to see that guard who patrolls up and down the alley, but no one there. Nothing out of the ordinary I thought, those guards change positions depending on the day. I then walk a little on and see one of those beetles, and decided to take the opportunity to chum up with the hammerites, so I shot it. Next thing I know I hear this guy yelling from behind me, I turn around, and there is a hammerite who's going off the deep end about this sound! For starters I have never spotted a mechanist or a pagan in south quater (from memory) and secondly the guy wasn't there when I spawned. Anyway I dive for the shadows and he runs around for a while, then of course he gives up. But the wierd part now is after giving up chase he just stands there, no animations, nothing, just stands stock still. This is getting pretty odd so I run up to him to see if he cares, and he just gives me a "The builder see's you too, Garrett". WTF? I'm seriously confused right now so I get a move on and head down to the entrance to the docks, passing a fat guard (who I had never seen before in either playthrough), and then, guess who is hiding in the shadows behind the cart (next to pavelock)? It's my best buddy anonymous Hammerite standing still doing sweet nothing.
Is this just another example of the game being incredibly unstable at times? And moreso is it common to have random character models show up, both replacing common ones, or just appearing from nowhere?

What's interesting is that all these things occur while playing for the second/third/forth/..... time, never the first.

There was a post a while back about how someone turned a door on the Wieldstrom into a magic flying projectile that went into the air and came back with a vengence.

Maybe they are just bored... you know.. sometimes they have nothing to do when they have no one to smite. :p
