Don't know about San Andreas, but I'm actually quite impressed by the PS2 graphics on 20" CRT TV. Sure, it's low res and all, but small and middle sized CRT TVs have antialiasing effect, plus, it's hard to describe, but the picture somehow seems a lot more 'live' than on a monitor.

Newsflash, the developers of those games didn't set out to make ultra-realistic military simulators, they made blockbuster entertainment products - the equivalent Hollywood summer films (or in the case of STALKER, a version of Nightwatch/Daywatch from a parallel universe that doesn't suck).

Was the sniper rifle thing in FO3 introduced in a patch or something? I played it vanilla and the only issue I ever had with the sniper rifle was how it's totally unusable in VATS from any range while I could headshot guys that I could barely see without an issue.
Also never really had an issue with the gun accuracy in vanilla Stalker, aside from the pistol/shotgun inexplicably being more accurate fired from the hip than down the sights.
