I want to see this changed in DX2 very much. Every time I waste or render unconsious a person that has something I don't have room for, I can not pick up the body and hide it. It just keeps saying "don't have room for the Assault Rifle". So the body sits there, someone finds it, and then they find me. I also found it extremely annoying that I would pick a body, hide it, and then a while later, I need to pick something up fast, and find that the ahole had filled my inventory from the grave with things I didn't need like a combat knife, since I had the DT sword, and tech goggles, since I have vision enhancement. I would like to see this instead: you have a body to deal with, right click, you have 2 options, pick up the body, or search it. If you choose pick up body, you pick it up. If you choose search, you have a small pop-up window on the HUD displaying the enemy's inventory, and how many slots you have left in yours, and you can use the arrow keys to scroll through and press enter to take certain things. Then you can exit out. It would take longer, but you would only do it when you weren't in danger anyway, and it would be a hell of a lot more convenient. Besides, filtering through your inventory after you search a guy to drop the cigarettes and flares takes even longer than my idea would.

In DX1 npcs NEVER noticed bodies. Seriously. They were completely oblivious to them. I've killed UNATCO troopers and then dumped them on Manderlys desk and he didn't say anything. Bodies are worthless to hide. Just don't bother. However the searching thing was pretty annoying but i'd just go throught the entire level with a combat knife and then I could search bodies and if they had a combat knife i wouldn't pick it up. Big deal. Then after the mission or after i had exited the area i'd just drop the "one" combat knife i had along with any misc. Flares, Cigs, etc. I found myself with like 8 open slots all teh time anyway. Because certain items you just don't need. Ballistic Armor, Thermoptic Camo, grenades, except lams, crowbar or baton,(after DTS), medkits (after regeneration), cokes, cigs, candybars, etc. knives or any other melee weapon after DTS, assualt shot gun (just use Sniper rifle or pistol, not stealth), even the Assault rifle wasn't that useful except for its HE20mm, Flame thrower, and Plasma gun. I mean i guess you could use all those things but why? there are much better substitutes, and they are smaller. Unless of course a person sucks, and needs an emp grenade, or gas grenade, and ballistic armor. HEHE.

I've actually killed a trooper and had another trooper find his body: "The bastard just killed him!" But it would be nice to be able to move a body without having to check inventory first...I proposed before that you should be able to click on the belt to get the inventory and click on the head or other appendages to pick up the body.

How about a single click to make a search of the body and a double click to pick it up. Oh and make AI better so its worth hiding them in most situations.

That's also a cool idea--you would get a flash of what they had before you picked up the body, which would also be realistic...

I finished DX 4 times already ... they
always found corpses I didn't hide! Improvement is always good, but IMO the AI was way better then everything seen before already.
The corpse-lifting was a problem ... you could come by that by putting one or two of the things you usually get from eliminated enemies (I chose the knife and tha baton). If I had to carry an enemy off, I just pressed the belt numbers of the items, threw them away, picked up the body and hid it. Still had a problem with enemies carrying bigger weapons. thoug (smiper, flame thrower, plasma, ...) This problem was annoying, but it did in no way ruin the game for me.

As I recall, enemies do notice bodies, but it only puts them on alret. They look for you for a while then after some time passes, they go back to normal partol. As for disposing of bodies, why not just hack them up? I mean, with a DTS, it takes 2, at most 3 hits to break the body up.
