On the heels of my "alternate" ending for Thief 3 (also in this forum) comes a much less dramatic video, but still fun:

These are the Thief 2 exploits that let me beat the game all the way through on the Expert skill level. (Well, that and copious use of "reload from last save". What can I say, this game is HARD! :-)
The best one, IMHO, is the method for disposing of the Builder's Children that conserves precious water arrows, fire arrows, and mines...most of the time, this game's difficulty seems bound by the availability of water arrows.

Beating robots to death is old hat. In fact you can reduce the larger ones to small pieces with a BJ.
As for the dearth of water arrows, the game can be played through with the use of NONE on all levels and all missions.
But it was amusing.

You can also use the ol' lure a combat bot so that an obstruction is blocking the arm cannon, yet can still see you. (A pillar or a wall jutting out will do) This way, it'll fire and explode immediately beside him thus damaging him. 2 such explosions will suffice.
Or, you can use dead combat bot parts to deflect their cannonballs. Just when they shoot a cannonball, throw the "corpse" at the bot. The bomb should deflect back towards the bot. I only used this in open areas (like the 2 big water reservior place in Sabatoge soulforge level). Cramped spaces either creates unpredictable bouncing and thus unable to retrieve the corpse before next shot or cannot throw the thing altogether =)
Spider bots...is better off just avoiding. They tend to stick to areas that are not so important and take a heck load of BJ bashes to break XD. And they look like spiders. Which i have a small phobia with.:eww:

It actually becomes quite easy if you know the various tricks (mainly learning the behavior of the AI, and using the blackjack effectively), and most levels can be completed without any serious risk of having to reload the game.
One useful "exploit" that the video does not seem to show is blackjacking searching guards while standing in a shadow and leaning forward; this could have been used in the Truart mansion part, but you also had a flashbomb with which several guards could have been blackjacked easily (unlike in TDS where neither of the above work).
It can also often make the game easier if one does not always try to attack every opponent - it may be safer to just avoid them :) For example, in Blackmail, there is not actually any useful reason to enter the room with the nobles and guards.
