THIS POST MAY CONTAIN DEUS EX SPOILERS THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL
Hi guys, after playing Deus Ex on and off (hey, Im busy!) I finally beat in on the weekend. All I have to say:
WOW!
This is an amazing game, and Im starting it again this upcoming weekend! Loved it to death, it blends FPS games and RPG game fantasically and does soooo many things right including the fantastic story!
anyway, the only parts i didnt like were:
- the conversations, for the most part, were basically were people standing completely still talking. i would have liked it if they maybe moved they arms or some some emotion or moved around or something. you know what I mean?
- endings were cool, but they werent the endings i expected. now not always a bad thing, BUT i didnt like it that in the end that no matter what choice you picked, something bad was gonna happen. helios merging with JC is totally wrong to me and i dont think he himself would NEVER pick that.
i think the most realistic is the destroy everything and a new dark age happens. i dont know, maybe its just me.
- i wish the story was MORE branching!!!! the only parts that honestly changed the game was the END three desicions and those were in your face decisions. i hope for DE2 that it happens more subtley, and more actions can change it and happens sooner in the game to you can actually have entire new games everytime you play.
-last thing, i wanted to pick what i was gonna say MORE times that it allowed me to. i would like to see a more of a monkey island dialogue format! that would be sweeet!
anyways, love the game, gonna be really sneeaky and not kill anyone and save paul this time i play through it!

I thought merging with Helios was the best chioce.

I too thought Helios was the best choice. That's why it was the first path I took. It seemed better than a new Dark Age or living under the control of the Illuminati. That's just my opinion of course. I too would have like multiple branching, but that would have taken a lot longer to make and take up more resources. So that's why you don't see a lot of true branching in games like this. I did really try to stay with UNATCO my second time through the game though. It's impossible, though.

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/wink.gifI agree with you about the endings. I personally did expect much more to happen in the end, but it didn't.
