And maybe the story of Cthulu (or whatever his name is) was mostly lost during the fall, and became twisted into the builder. The hammerites always assumed him to be a man, maybe he isn't...

Well I prefer the idea that the Builder isnt a character at all....just a symbol for the intelligence which seperates humanity from the Trickster´s creatures....

Kind of off topic but kind of related to constantine :
What happens to constantine's black sword from TDP ? Why doesnt Garett have it in TMA? I havent played TDP yet so i was just wondering what happened to it

Many have wondered. Some think it lost its power and became an ordinary sword after he died. Others think it still exists somewhere.

Well, "Constantine's Sword" didn't have any of it's power coming from the Trickster, now did it? After all, it did last through the rest of the game, even when it was used against The Trickster... I'd say it's safer to assume it's just misplaced in some ruin.
Closer to the topic... I'd say that the Trickster isn't really dead, but one of his forms did indeed get destroyed - Look at the approach to magic in Deadly Shadows. The 3 main factions each have their own source of power - Keepers have Glyphs, Hammers have the Master Builder, and Pagans have ol' Tricksey... Now assuming the Trickster was really dead, wouldn't pagan magic lose it's potence? I mean, sure, they'll still be able to brew potions and the such, but I doubt their "Normal" magics would work. Furthermore, if indeed the Trickster was killed entirely, what would stop the Hammers from wiping them out completely? (In The Metal Age it's understandable why. The Hammers were few and scattered, and the Mechanists were mostly busy coming up with new ways to destroy the world). I'd point out to the ending of Deadly Shadows - the Keepers are afraid, because their "God" is suddenly gone - They now have nothing to protect them, and if indeed one of the surviving factions would suddenly develop a serious case Keeper Hatred, the keepers are gone. No more hiding in invisible buildings behind glyph doors.
So, until the pagans suddenly lose power, I'd say it's safe to assume the Trickster is alive and kicking. Somewhere.

Why's that? In the CS after "Trail of Blood" Viktoria said: "It is true that I am powerful.
But I draw my strenght from this place." So the Maw is the sorce of her power. So maybe the Maw was the Trickster's power source as well. Maybe the Maw is older than him, maybe it's where the Trickster originates from?

Thank you, Archangel, you get where I'm coming from. In TMA and DS the Pagans continually refer to their god as still acting on the world; I recall a Pagan saying something along the lines of "May the Woodsie be watchering you" or whatever when I was allied with them, even though they probably all know that Garrett killed Constantine. I see this as evidence for the Trickster being more than a single-minded man, but that's just my opinion.

At the End of TDP Artemus said "...the Trickster is dead"
I think the Keepers know everything about the Trickster so it´s true....

I think Pitch is on the right track. Godhood isn't proof against being killed, as the Trickster showed, it is merely a certain level of power.
The Trickster was a god, and Viktoria was something less than a god, due to timing. By drawing power from the Maw and using the power to direct the activities in the Maw, her power and knowledge grows. If she hadn't been killed, she might have achieved godhood after a few thousand years of living in the Maw as its leader and caretaker.
Granted, the Maw would be more chaotic if it was run by a Congress instead of a single leader. :laff:
