recomended: skate, GTA4 & Kameo :thumb:
seconded: Crackdown :D
absolutely NOT seconded: The Darkness :nono: Sure, it had style but the gameplay wasn't good and the difficulty varied wildly from level to level.

If we're going to include XBL Arcade games, then let me add Geometry Wars 2, without question.

Gawd so many, buying an xbox360 really doesn't need any justification it's cheap and it's loaded with great titles, just get it.
(or a ps3 if you want to feel like a rebel, I insist on liking it more)

I'll also endorse 'The Darkness' and 'Banjo Kazooie. I also find stuff like 'GTA IV', 'Burnout' are much better on the consoles than the PC but that's more of a driving control preference + large screen thing.

The Darkness, Devil May Cry 4 and GTA4 your better off playing on a ps3 though.
Besides that their all excellent excellent games majorly worth a play. The Darkness especially gets better and better as it goes along. Be sure to sit down and watch a tv show or movie or 2 on the tvs throughout the game if you have the time.
Original series of Flash Gordon ftw. Oh wait thats only in the ps3 version. Well theres a few worthy movies in both versions anyway.

The Darkness and Tenchu Z come to mind. They're not particularly exceptional games, but fair enough to be worth the $20 some-odd you'd pay for a used copy.
Tenchu Z is pure garbage, why don't you recommend DBZ: Burst Limit while you're at it? The Tenchu series has sucked since number 3 on PS2.

I'll second The Darkness, great game. I'll disagree on one one thing though, the Xbox version is better - more consistent framerates and the PS3's version's aliasing is very noticeably worse. Honestly you aren't going to watch all of the "flavour text films", maybe 10 minutes at most. Whether or not your version had a truncated version of "It's a Wonderful Life" is really trivial.
The technical differences between 360 and PS3 GTA4 you have to pick out with a fine-tooth comb. Also there's the 360's exclusive meaty expansion packs, Lost and Damned can last 7-10 hours alone.

Perfect Dark Zero.
Awkwardness of using the gamepad in an FPS aside (it requires better accuracy than halo) it's quite fun.
Constantly reminded me of playing Goldeneye on the N64 in junior high.

Also, Halo 3 for its nigh-orgasmic multiplayer. Pah pah puh pum!!!
And there's also, uh... um... Viva Pinata? Dude, you know that most X360 exclusives end up on the PC looking and playing better at the same time, so it's hard to find more options... as far as shooters are concerned anyway.
One game that you might want to take a crack at is Fallout 3 if it's still crashing on your PC. But it still looks and plays better on the PC if you get it to work right.
Then there's stuff like Project Gotham racing which I guess isn't something you'd play. Also, you have Sakaguchi's jRPG duo, of which I've heard Lost Odyssey is a lot better. And there's tons of shit on Live Arcade, a lot of retro revamps, but you could just emulate those on the PC.
(Hint: You wouldn't want to touch Wing Commander Arena with a ten-foot barge pole.)
