Okay, this isn't strictly t3-related, but it's rather spoilerish so I didn't want to put it in the general discussion forum.
At the end of TDP, Artemus tells Garrett that there is a "book that you were not made aware of," and at the end of TMA, the cutscene ends with GArrett saying "show me" (referring to the Keeper prophecies). What is the book that Artemus talks about? And is it just me, or does T3 seem to begin without any sense of continuity from the abrupt cliffhanger end of TMA? I understand that T3 needed to be made more "accessible," but it really seems like ISA just forgot about tying up the loose ends left at the end of TMA.

Well, I presume the book is the book of prophesy, that Garrett does get shown in Theif 3. Thief 3 begins in a probably more realistic reflection of Garrett's life, he asks the keepers to show him the prophesies, and whilst waiting for the decrepid keeper council to actually agree, goes to get himself some GOLD!
At least thats the best explanation I can come up with.

I think the book that was mentioned was about the Metal Age.
Or it was just a throw-in to make the Keepers look even more mysterious.
Which kinda reminded me why I liked them in TDP and TMA.
TDS keepers are clumsy fools :(

But the assassins were cool, even if they were more like rampagers

Hey, thats what made them so cool! "You disrupt my mission!" BOOM! Entire city population wiped out!

And in the end of the day - Keepers are still a secretive order that nobody knows about. :laff:
Which makes me wonder... How did Artemus get that note from Inspector Drept for you?
Cardel on 16/4/2006 at 19:16
Well, I guess he went over to Drept and said "HI!! If you dont give me a note saying Garrett can go free if he does some annoying task for you, we're gonna let the Keeper Rampa - uhh... Assassins, yeah, assassins, they'll come to Auldale, okay?"

Likewise, how do the Pagans get word to the Keepers that they've posted a note up for Garrett? I'm guessing that both groups, as ancient as they are, have learned of the existance of the Keepers somehow - even if they don't know everything about them.
