Now you're exaggerating. I agree people make too much fuss about that scene with the girl, but except about her barely anyone is talking about "some character suddenly returning". The girl was in the end cutscene of TDS, and that cutscene looked like the last cutscene of Thief we would ever see (not anymore!) So I can understand why people are a bit confused and exspecting some things about her, she is different than the rest of the "nameless people in cutscenes".

I think her name should be Garrett and Stephen Russell could provide "her" voice. The game could also be strictly 1st person like Half-Life so that we never see the main character. :p
