Okay, I'll go ahead and insert my (limited?) knowledge:
FPS:
1. Dead Island?
3. Bioshock Infinite
4. Rage
Driving:
5. Nitronic Rush
Platformer:
1. Electronic Super Joy
2. Trine
3. Volgarr the Viking
4. Deadlight
5. Guacamelee
6. Home
7. Thomas was Alone
9. Intrusion 2
Note that I haven't even played 1, 3 and 6, though I still recognized them. Only drawing a blank on 8.
Third person:
5. Darksiders
6. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
9. Tiny and Big

And I've got a set for you guys too. I tried to pick some retro Dos games that aren't super obvious (i.e. no Commander Keen or Duke Nukem). In this particular case, I cropped each screenshot to remove any HUD, though the graphical style is still fairly distinctive in each.

I recognise four of those DOS games.
2. Jagged Alliance
5. Skyroads
7. Jetpack
8. God of Thunder
Awesome games. :) I can't remember ever playing or seeing the others, with the exception of #4 that looks somewhat familiar.

Platformer #2 is technically Trine 2: Goblin Menace
Other than that, my game-spotting skills (and played-game vocabulary) appear to be lacking.

DOS games:
2. Jagged Alliance
3. I've played this! At least the shareware version, damned if I can remember the name tho.
5. Sky Roads
6. Laser puzzle something something. Damn. Think I've played this one too.

DOS game #3 is Jill of the Jungle.

I can't see the DOS games - the image is too small for me!
But number one is really, really familiar (what I can make out of it anyway).
Zerker on 16/2/2014 at 14:34
Henke: #6 is not even close :)
Sulphur: Also incorrect (but correct publisher)
NuEffect: The image should be pixel-by-pixel for each game, no zooming. Remember most DOS games run in 320 x 200 (except game #6). I took a 120 x 120 crop of each screenshot, resulting in a total image size of 360 x 360.
Do you have a high DPI screen by any chance? You can try saving the image then zooming in any image viewer, or telling your browser to zoom (if you have the browser configured to also zoom images).
If it's a problem for anyone else, I can upload a pixel-doubled version later.

2. Jagged Alliance
3. Xargon
4. Squarez!
5. Skyroads
6. Heaven & Earth
7. Jetpack
8. God of Thunder
9. Creepers
