It's summer so I'm going through games pretty quick. Almost done with Prototype, finished Bad Company (still thoroughly enjoying the online), bored with Red Faction: Guerilla.
So anyways, I need a good singleplayer, story driven game.
What are your guy's thoughts on these games:
Silent Hill: Homecoming
F.E.A.R. 2
Assassin's Creed
I'm considering getting Condemned for 10 bucks at Gamestop. I played it years ago and absolutely loved it. Anyone find it a good game to play through again?

If you've played FEAR 1 then FEAR 2 is a great pick.
Condemned is awesome in spite of subpar gameplay. (Make sure you get the 360 version.)
Condemned 2 improves the gameplay while the story is a massive wallbanger.
Would also recommend picking up Unreal Tournament 2K4 for Out of Hell, if that thing ever actually fucking comes out.

The 360 version is actually the only version I could play...I edited my original post now.
I played the FEAR 2 demo and wasn't impressed really...but I know there's a great game there because the first one was just so tight.
Is Condemned worth playing through again? Like even if you know what's coming. I struggled to make it through the second one twice so I traded it in.

Yes. Condemned not one of those games that you necessarily play for the story.
Anyway, I recommend that you play Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 for the superior Single Player campaign and Vegas 2 for the MP. See my post in your (

I guess in addition I want another story-driven game. Even if the controls or graphics are sub-par, I want something that'll keep me coming back for the story.

Well the story and narrative delivery of Condemned 1 are compelling enough. But the visceral gameplay, atmosphere instilled in the presentation and level design are the main draws of Condemned.
