Fable II isn't revolutionary and has a few issues but it's good fun, and a solid recommendation.
Also, you can get Amped 3 for like $5 and it's worth it for the insane "story".
As far as Assasin's Creed goes, it has some entertaining sections but the main missions are padded by a series of incredibly repetitive "filler" tasks that you have to complete in order to proceed - basically, they made a five hour game and filled it up with 10 extra hours of non-content.

No. I loved FEAR and both expansions, but FEAR 2 is very disappointing.

FEAR 2 is more of the same as FEAR. It shouldn't have to be said, but there are tons of Thief fan missions worth replaying. I play HL1 when I've got free time.
I don't have any links, but you can try finding where you can get one of the Touhou games, those are fun for a bit.

I actually enjoyed FEAR 2 more than the original, and I am a huge fan of the original, if that tells you anything.

The reviews I've read say it is utter crap. Less than 50% utter crap at that. That's pretty damning. I don't think one should necessarily pay attention to 90+% reviews as its largely a matter of taste, but if reviews are hitting below 50% something ain't right.
