Hello all!
I've been trying to reinstall Thief 2 so I can play T2X. The CD is scratched or something though, as it always chokes as it's installing snd.crf. I ran a CD-recovery program that copied all the files off of the CD, and then the game installed fine, but when I went to patch the game to 1.18 so I can play T2X the patch shuts down again when it reaches snd.crf, saying that the file is different from the original or something similar.
All that to say... does anyone know where I can get a copy of snd.crf for Thief: the Metal Age? I know it's a big file, but I have bandwidth and I really want to play T2X. As of now Thief 2 runs fine as is (though version 1.07) but I can't run T2X without it crashing almost immediately.
Any assistance would be much appreciated. I would buy another copy of the game but it's IMPOSSIBLE to find anymore (also I'm currently in Central America for my job, so ordering it online isn't an option either.)
Thanks again for any help.

I think the best option is to have someone back home buy Thief 2 and send you the disc. :)

you're kidding, right? eidos even still sells it brand new on their website. i once saw it in freakin' electronics botique in that "thief platinum" pack that you could get for half-off if you bought a copy of thief 3, etc.
thief gold is a different story, but let's not get into that.
seeing as you're in central america, you're boned, unless someone were to buy it FOR you, then send it to you.
it never hurts to have as many copies of the game as possible anyway :thumb:
