Need the disks. Severely :(

Damn. I have my Metal Age install disk scratched beyond use (means, if I were to reinstall for any reason, I'm screwed), and lost my Deadly Shadows... So I was really hoping to get that. Most of the places where I found Thief don't ship here.

Anyone could help? Like, buy somewhere and then send here, I'll cover shipping here, too.

For a start, if you have a working install of Thief 2, just throw the whole folder into an archive and burn it to a CD as a backup. The game will run fine without being installed, I regularly just copy my install between computers rather than bother with the hassle of digging out my CDs.

I have a CD copy of TDS that I purchased when it was released, but I've also just picked up TDS on Steam - no more worries about my TDS disc anymore. :cheeky:

I'm hoping all the previous Thief titles (TDP, TG and TMA) are added to Steam soon as well.

I second NV's suggestion. I have working snapshots of my T1 and T2 directories backed up safely, and if something goes wrong I will be able to revert back quite easily.

I don't have it 100% working, either... As I mentioned before, I can't run dromed, and I have OMs scrambled worse than an omelet...

u can get Thief3 on steam, but dont do it. all downloadable versions of thief have problem with patches and mods.

if you want thif go and buy a CD copy from play.com or same such.

Err, no I didn't as I bought it as part of a large game pack. If I had bought TDS on it's own then I'd have chastised myself for not being psychic. ;)

Who else knows about TDS being free on gametap? Are there any catches?

Also, would we not actually prefer to pay for any of the Thief series games so that those who hold the license have at least a little motivation to make further instalments? Just a thought... :p
