I forgot about some of Deadly Shadows, so I started to play it again a few weeks ago. Every once in awhile, just like before, when I finished the game the last time, Deadly Shadows crashes, and I get an error message. I don't know what is causing it, but it happens about once a week or two. then I have to close Garrett Loader, and reload. Well, a couple of days ago, I was in the Museum, looking for the three items. I had covered all of the first floor, and was on the second floor, and decided to save again. Well, I had been saving over a few previous saves, and in the middle of the save, Thief decided to crash. I lost that save, to my disappointment. I looked for the previous save, but it was Gamall's Lair. I also found some previous saves from when I finished the game the last time, 2 and a half years ago. There are quite a few to choose from, including the same place where I saved in the museum this time. All I need to do to get my current game back is modify this save from the previous game, including some loot, and some arrow quantities. Does anyone know of an editor that could modify these? Then I can continue. You can PM me, if you want. I don't know how to use the FM editor, so I would need one that the average person could use. I decided to load Gamall's Lair (the previous save) and go on from there, but I really don't want to.
And BTW, as an aside, in the front of the museum, in the yard, there are some very tall statues. I bumped into one, and it moved. So I pushed it and kicked it, and it tipped over into the yard. This is one of the more fun parts of the game. It dropped onto the stone yard with a loud crash. So I went around and did that to two others. They were all laying in the stone yard, next to each other. The guards finally got suspicious, and one walked up to take a look. It was funny! He looked around, and even kicked a statue a few times, and then he said, "Well I thought I heard something, but I guess not". Then he walked back to his post! LOL!
