Need to tap into the forum's obscure game knowledge. - by LancerChronics

I've been a bit nostalgic lately, and remembering some of the first games I've ever played, like ecoquest and toon factory, but the name of one still eludes me.
It came in the free cd pack with the old hp computer, along with things like "Invention Studio". It was cartoon styled, 2-D, point-click. Main characters were a little girl and an over-the-top super-hero of sorts, trying to thwart a devil looking thing who wanted to destroy the ecosystem. In the game, there were mini-games, such as bouncing lasers to melt ice around a bomb, so it could be disarmed. Another game was the superhero would put a time machine on a terrarium and you'd have to pick a super-evolved monster out of the terrarium to battle a mutant ant that was cutting down the forest. The game involve a lot of cartoon cutscenes. You only had a certain number of chances for each minigame, or else that ecosystem would be successfully destroyed, and show up on the island map.
Anyone know the name of the game? Part of me just wants to know the name. The other part of me remembers how young I was when it came out, that I was too stupid to beat it (only ever beat the volcano), so now I want to dominate it and smash it's face in. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, that would be great, thx.

As long as we're here, I got a question. There was this really obscure shareware game waaaaaay back when where you played some dude named Baldy. He was like, 90 or something, and it was a fantasy setting if I recall. Kind of a platformer, I guess? It was also pretty shitty, but it had what I thought was decent art for the time.

Don't know about yours, but I had an "lightbulb" moment right as I was about to fall asleep for the night.

I also remember why I stopped playing, Hyperman is horribly loud and annoying.
Yours sounds familiar for some reason, remember the year?

Not really. Probably between 1992 and 1996.

Oh I remember that one I think, did you have to collect food and water to stay alive and was it Isometric? Because I think I remember that one, just don't remember the name.

I don't think it was isometric, no. You jumped around, if I recall. And one hit was death.

Definitely not. For starters it was VGA.
