They'll probably screw it up regardless by having Sonic moving too fast and/or moving on rails. The Mega Drive Sonics weren't about sheer speed, they were defined by level design - platforming and exploration.

Apparently Thiefgen is run like a fascist state, but I'm going off second hand information. I rarely venture there because frankly its population seem like mental patients during a group therapy session, or primary school kids having "show and tell" during class. Thief Gen is like a fucking Anime board at times, the kind populated by 13-year-old Naruto and Inuyasha fans. I even see Mary Sue fanfics posted in there occasionally.

Yes, I realise that they aren't all like that. But there's often at least some reality attached to generalisations, like there certainly is here.

It is childish if that is the case. I thought you did it yourself. It may have been funny for a minute, but to leave it permanently is dumb. I also seem to remember something similar happening to ZylonBane a while back.
