I heard he left because of all the unconsenting aug probing that was going on up there.
and by up there i mean in the ass
TBH I don't really care whether the community manager has played DX or Thief. He isn't making the game is he? So long as he doesn't post or modify like a tool it's fine by me. Not that I frequent there much anyway - too many idiotic posters up in there.
By the looks of it they've taken some of the core complexity of DX1 and upped it so at this point I'm actually quite hopeful for both DXHR and Thief 4. If they take the core elements of Thief 1 and do the same we'll be on a winner.

Sounds like they just took some young dude low on the totem pole, who's done a little bit of testing, and gave him a fancy job title. I wouldn't expect to get much of anything useful out of him from here to...release day...and beyond. :p

Hey guys,
This is surreal. But anyway, here I am. Stay classy.
P.S. Anyone under 30 makes me physically ill. BLEECHK!

Before he un-Friended me on Facebook I think this deserves further exploration. jtr managed to pester a
Community Manager so much that he was unfriended? That's amazing, frankly.

Hahahahahaha!
Really, little man?
Naw. The "relationship" was all business, communication was rare, and the business ended...abruptly. He left EM, and a couple of weeks later, he cleaned up his list. Now he just needs to un-Friend me from two forums if he wants to express real animosity you can giggle about.

Aw.
...and here I was looking forward to some sort of 'mortal enemy' scenario.
Anyways, it doesn't seem like there's too much political stuff going on, here. Sad to see René go, though. Seemed like an amiable dude.

So ..... has anyone heard anything more about/from Mr. Stallock? Just curious, especially in light of that accursed French article. Kind of disappointed that, to my knowledge, Mr. S. doesn't seem to have attempted to introduce himself here at TTLG as of yet.

Some publishers/developers don't need community managers.
d'Spair on 9/11/2010 at 15:59
And some communities just can't be managed.
