I'm going to have to side with ZylonBane on this one, although I think I can do it without the "in-your-FACE!!" type of comments... :cheeky:
You said you skipped the training. We're just saying that was a bad idea.
Saying "Mission 2" doesn't tell us much, by the way... we can probably gauge your progress better by the mission description, instead of a number. Like, "I rescued Gunther and met the NSF Commander at the top of the Statue of Liberty and now I'm in Battery Park looking for where the NSF took the ambrosia, and what their plans for it are." Keep one eye on the plot when you play, and check your Goals screen so you know what you're doing. The game will come together more easily.

I've decided to skip the training and start the game, which may or may not turn out to be a mistake.
So now we know the answer to that question.

Kay. ...Again, as I said. No defense. Improper as it may seem, I'm quite certain I made it very clear.
I was not whining, nor asking for advise, only making an observation which I thought some would find amusing (at my expense). Apparently, I was right, but I'd hoped the amusement would'nt be so mean-spirited. Stupid of me, granted. I won't make the same mistake again.

Some might find this amusing, so...
Crates can be broken into, and contain useful equipment
Geez, it took me waaaaaaaay too long to figure that out.
Thats pretty funny :laff: Would be even funnier if you went through the whole game like that.

So why don't you run through the training course now? There's no technical reason why you can't. It's a completely standalone map set from the main game.

I will do that, ZB. Originally, I got stuck at one particular spot in the training, was a bit frustrated, and decided to try the game without completing training, with the half-hearted intention of going back and completing the training at some point. So, this may be that point. :)

Indeed. And, as obvious, by skipping the training you were missing the introduction of some people very important to the plot, not to mention the general atmosphere, feeling and gameplay of the game. :p

Good point. Unlike Invisible War, which just throws you in at the deep end, DX goes to considerable lengths to make you feel at home in UNATCO.

I remember when I first "learned" how to difuse a bomb in training, hehe. Wasn't pretty.
