Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is the newest album from the Austin Tx instrumental band (some say post-rock, some say indie, I have no idea what those things mean). If you're not a fan of their previous work I doubt this will turn you on since it is more of the same. But for fans of the band, I think is one of their best works since The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place. The melodies are tight as always, but there is less meandering than their last effort All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. And if any of you are artists, especially writers, you'll probably find Explosions makes are great "creating" music, especially with this album.
Here are a few of my favorite tracks:

This is something from my home state I'm very proud of. I didn't know they moved to Austin. They used to be out of Dallas, but Austin is the better city for them.
My favorite EitS moment is when "Catastrophe and the Cure" started playing in the Knytt Stories fan level "Autumn to Summer" for the winter scene.

i LOVE Catastrophe and the Cure.
One of my favorite game-related Explosions moments was actually by accident. I was playing Halo on a laptop at college and during the finale (this game is so old I can say this without spoiler right?) when you're on the humvee-like vehicle escaping the collapsing mothership or what have you, Greet Death, was playing on my iTunes. I had forgotten it was playing. The build up the song perfectly correlated with the crescendo of violence unfolding before me. I mean it perfectly fit. And then I died and the song kept going and I realized what was happening.
I'm dying to see these guys live but I think I've missed their NY shows for this tour ;(

I'm okay with this

Same as before and not as good. They do this kind of music well (I do enjoy Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place quite much occasionally), but it's not exactly interesting.

Yeah, I like EitS but let's be honest, Red Sparowes is basically the same band with a little more fire in 'em.
Koki on 7/4/2011 at 06:18
I don't think this kind of music should have more "fire" in it.

Shouldn't compare them to Red Sparowes because they hail from completely different standpoints.

That hardly means anything when they often sound very similar, especially RS' earlier albums.
