There's metal, ambient and touch of Morricone and other film scorers in Red Sparowes. Can't say the same about Explosions in the Sky.
Sure, both travel the beaten path of post-rock, but that's just another example of how stagnated the genre is. That's why I like both, but don't really get excited when they release stuff. I've already heard and seen GYBE so even good imitations are just imitations.
