The updated version (v1.1) is now available thanks to Jason's graciousness and swiftness.
Get it (

Changes:
Updated readme to include the requirement to use Gaylesaver's scripts.
Added model for the nice kitchen window (Targa's vine window).

Sorry to hear that... I'm only using two of the scripts, and as far as I know neither caused problems in the 1.2 release.

(

Yandros - It was no big deal...I just overwrote the new ones with the older ones, and I was back in business. I seem to be having problems with the latest versions of
everything lately...now, take the latest nVidia drivers for instance... ;)
Anyway, congratulations on an excellent little Christmas-y mission! I've already notified my legions of fanatical followers to its existence, so expect the downloads to spike by about three or four within the next day! :cheeky:

Downloading now!
By the way (nobody missed me Im sure) but its good to be back - I had a few probs re PC & my dial up connection. I am now back online with a cable (10X faster) connection and a new PC that should hopefully be able to play T3. I am one happy chappy!!
Sorry about that but I just had to tell someone!

It's odd that folks aren't finding the scripts. When you go to the thiefmissions.com info page for the mission, near the top there's a message that the mission requires the script and a link to them. On the scripts page there's a note that some people have problems with the current version along with a link to the older version. Is there some way I can make this easier?

Interestingly, though, I shy away from large missions. I think one reason is the scope is so daunting, and another is that the limits of the Thief engine are such that you just can't pack alot of detail (architectural and otherwise) into most areas of a large mission, or you start having major problems.I think you can get away with quite a bit though with Dromed as long as you make sure every time an error (no matter how small) seems to creep up it is completely removed before continuing to make another thing. The 7th Crystal had tons of detail in it. I'm sure that the 7th Crystal part 2 is going to be split up into separate missions as well, maybe 20MB?
It seems that file splitting (and using the missions as sequences in a huge plot) is becoming more and more popular with modern missions. The detail in Alexius's upcoming missions is incredible as well but I'm sure he's using a golden rule of level sizing.

Isn't that the Canadian Brass Christmas playing on track 1?
Fun little mission. It's amazing that you came up with this in three weeks.
