Cripes man, it's just a little holiday mission... I was just looking to make it more than just the atmosphere. I didn't have time to get very fancy, just wanted to put in a few fun little puzzles...

This problem was mentioned in the readme. Yes, there are a lot of visible objects due to the semicircular windows above the doors, which make alot of the kitchen objects visible from the living room rafters.

This was really great Yandros. I wish I had played it sooner. The reason why there are no presents under the tree: Being that it was December 23, Santa hadn't arrived yet. ;)

Thanks to epithumia (as always), the scripts are updated.

It's been said many times, but very nice mission, Yandros. :) I couldn't play this at Christmas time because I was visiting family, and they did not have Thief. Imagine that. Two weeks without Thief! Anyway, I just finished it five ways on Expert, missing #4 and #7. Took me a long time to get up into the rafters in the living room. The problem is that
the mantle from the fern is extremely fussy. Same with #1. It took many jumps and reloads. I suggest that next year you make the mantles a little more positive. :)
Anyway, those are minor points, and I sure enjoyed it. Tomorrow I try to find 4 and 7.

I got #7 this morning, but #4 still eludes me. I hate to consult the spoilers. Can someone give me a wee hint? :)

Hmmmm.... assume you have guests coming over later, and you need to have some snacks ready to serve to them. Hopefully that's not too much of a hint.

LOL:D Thanks, Yandros. It was not too much of a hint for me. I got it, but only after resorting to the spoiler. Here is what I did and why I messed up (#4 is spoiled below)
I had been hacking away at everything, including food, even before I got your hint. I just continued, focusing harder on the food. Some things I did the overhead swing on. But for some reason, I did not use the overhead swing on the bread and cheese. So, I chaged my sword swing, and that did it. BTW, I discovered that you can shatter all the fancy loot-looking items in the shelf below when attempting to carve deer legs. I also spent a lot of time trying to carve the roast in the fire place.:)
Yandros, this mission is just....BEAUTIFUL! :thumb:
The only fault I can find in your missions is that they are too small.
I really hope that your next one will be bigger. :)
Yandros on 19/1/2004 at 01:31
Thanks, both of you. Rowena, I tend to design smaller missions because my RL is too busy to devote the time it would take to finish a large mission within a reasonable amount of time (I'm also paranoid about the Dromed problems which begin cropping up in larger missions). So I prefer smaller missions.... I have one in the works, however, which is larger - St. Francis' Folly.
For those interested, I'll be finished with Eastwater Bank Gold within the next few days. I decided I couldn't just add the new languages and re-release it without taking a few weeks to fix minor bugs and do a small expansion. This of course has delayed work on Clue and my other missions, but I felt it was worth it.
