I'm not sure if this has ever really been done, but as an avid FM player (and one who loves all you guys for your hard work, since I myself wouldn't have the first clue where to begin making an FM) I would like to request something:
Troutpack recently did that great FM that was based completely on EVIL DEAD 2 - there was another one awhile back based on the character of Hannibal the Cannibal from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. I was wondering if someone might consider doing some more horror movie based levels - specifically TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE - I think it would be great fun to play levels with architecture and media straight from the classics of horror!
Just plain scare-the-poop-out-of-you levels can be fun as well, even if not based on horror movies per se.
Maybe there could even be a horror FM contest? Maybe a design the scariest level contest or something? Can we make requests like that?

is a fun little mission that, yes, is a pretty unnerving gaming experience (and not necessarily due to the Evil Dead references). But I wouldn't want many more of these "non-Thief" themed missions primarily because the Thief universe has its own style of horror: a more mature, gritty type of horror gaming that few other games have successfully achieved. I'd rather see more "Shunned"-style missions. More "Inverted Manse"-style missions. Having previously played Thief 1 and Gold, it was my first playthrough of Thief 2 that made me realise how fun and scary zombie missions could be, because there
were none in T2, and I missed that!
Not to mention that Evil Dead is pretty damn tacky as horror flicks go. Less of that, please. ;)

Horror can still have a part in the "Normal" Thief FM. I heard, around a year ago, that someone was thinking of making an FM themed around Jack-The-Ripper killings.

I have two in the works which are undead missions, one of which has lots of cheap scares (The Idol) and the other of which is a deeper, profound kind of terror-inducing mission (Circulation of Shadows). Surprisingly, Death's Cold Embrace isn't a horror tale at all, more of a classical tragedy. Maybe I'll get some of these finished some day... :erg:

I am working on Thief style horror based FMs. God knows when I will actually have anything I consider releaseable though.
