another safe place for the scripts would be the mission's main folder. I mean, putting essential files in random folders which we KNOW are not getting read by the engine sounds like a very bad idea - my recommendation would be, don't do it.
but I think you actually could set the folder to be read in the mission's own cfg - check NewDark docs.

We'll look into that, thanks!

ZylonBane: it doesn't do anything for me, I just tried. My lights still have their default Saturation and Hue values, unless it only works with the override LightColor param.
How on earth do you override the color on a light BRUSH?

desaturate_all_lights : clear hue/saturation on all light
brushes

Nevermind, I'm an eejit. You're right. I thought the HackLights were considered as brushes. The more you know.

Has anybody managed to do that yet?

Is there anyway to create a separate button for 'only frobbing' with objects in the world environment and not having to use the use item key? So we can have +use_item and +frob, and not have to use a dual functioning key when interacting with environment since I accidentally keep using items when I don't mean to.

Use and frob are the same thing.

I'm not certain, but I think perhaps he means separating using items in inventory and interacting with the outside world. For example, the right mouse button would still interact with the world such as when frobbing a door handle, but you would use a separate method for using a key from inventory on a locked door, perhaps a new key bind.

Yes. and I also think NewDark could use a dedicated mantling key, not just to prevent those annoying jump off wall moments to your death/injury but also to prevent you from accidentally making noise when trying to do some simple mantles. I think dual functioning keys are fine if this where a console game, but having greater control is a necessity for me. If its possible I mean.
