Completed T1 and started playing T2 recently and that way my experience for the whole game is from scratch and would be helpful to know answers to certain doubts, as and when it arises from the die-hard fans and members of this forum.
First I want to congratulate all fans and newbie for the amazing v1.19 patch that drew me especially to play this game since all the DDFix and annoying older installation tweaks just made me delay playing Thief1/2 on the new system!!
Secondly, I found Thief stealth system really very easy (compared to Hitman 2) and spoils the challenge with blackjacking for me. For the challenge I have installed Ultimate Difficulty mod and limited myself for "Lytha way" with absolutely no blackjacking converting this game to an awesome challenge and difficulty level (now better than Hitman 2).
On to the Topic
- Is there any Mod that revamps textures to HD quality and much better textures compared bland ones. I have seen some pictures in the forum where it looked absolutely outstanding. I seriously need such graphic mods, if available or know!
- There are quite lot of keys which often affect my decision about hiding and opening doors in tight spots with very few shadows.
If possible and a wish for a mod to include an item like "Keyrings" to hold entire bunch of keys found in a level and continue opening doors with quick key immediately to save that precious seconds to change inventory.
- I noticed in some levels that if you walk or run behind a concrete wall the enemy AI (on other side) isn't affected but as soon as you jump (without run/jump but simply jump) hits AI awareness level to 3. On the other hand a simple walk on wooden floors makes the AI uncomfortable while running on carpets/mossy floors doesn't even bother anyone. A mod recommendation to fix this???
Thanks..

You should take a look at the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131106) Tafferpatch, it includes:
- t2skies and t2water mod by Jermi
- Enhancement Pack by Nameless Voice
- NTEX texture pack by thief_gotcha

This can't be changed using a mod. You have to modify the missions with DromEd and manually change all the keys. You need the NVScript module to accomplish this: (
http://www.thiefmissions.com/scripts/NVScript.html#NVKeyringKey) NVKeyringKey.

There is no such mod available. It might be possible to create it, but this would require serious changes to the existing AI scripts.

Welcome!
I just want to point out that figuring out for yourself which key to use on which door is more realistic. I'm kind of surprised you want to do away with that aspect, when all of your other desires push things towards more realism.

/edit/ whatever
Games + realism = lololando

/me tries to imagine CoSaS 2 : Mission X without the keyring… around 20 keys in inventory… yeah, great ^^'

But keyhunts are oh-so more realistic. I remember the other day when I was locked outta my house, so I went in my inventory and checked all 30+ keys. To no avail, I smashed a window in. :cheeky:
We can't deny people that type of fun in Thief. It's the manly way of accomplishing things in the old-school world of gaming.
