Hello there!
We at DeusEx-Machina.com have a five exclusive screenshots of the Playstation 2 version of Deus Ex. They're absolutely gorgeous and I must say that I am almost envious of the interface improvements. Be sure to check them out here!
Enjoy!

The Helios shot will blow your mind and I actually like the little tech-level lights for the augs display *better* than the PC version.

Hmmmm. I kinda found the PC version to have better graphics. Also, are they taking away location damage from us?

Yeah, it looks that way. But really, it doesn't matter. When you lost your arms in the game you could still fire a weapon. I guess you passed it to your teeth before your arm got blown off. JC must have a bionically enhnaced head to be able to hoist a GEP gun.
It won't detract much from the gameplay.

I find the interface for the PS2 disturbing. I actually like the PC interface quite well. But what do you expect, the PS2 is a console afterall.
Who knows, maybe in the next DX they'll let you choose how the interface is done.

The shots do look good. One quibble: What ever happened to the sophisticated interface? And what about location damage? The game looks just like another plebeian shooter with the same Health and Energy digital readouts. The inventory looks cool

Gamespot has an interview with Harvey Smith and Bill Money. Bill is playing DX on the PS2 in the background while the interview is with Harvey. You have to go watch it...it makes me jealous. The new Motion Capturing and Skeletal Animation makes DX look even more realistic.

They look gorgeous, but they still reek of console smell

The Health and Bio-Energy bars look completely out of place. Otherwise, not bad at all.
For a console game, that is....
