Be of note, on steamworks is a new mod called "NG+" which adds medkits to the vendor just before the final boss battle + adds some (originally) backer only stuff to the Seamstress Union. If your still playing the main campaign get this mod. Being able to buy medkits at the near end is invaluable just in itself.

And it turns out I have the deluxe edition afterall. Just didn't know where to look in my steam folder (listening to the soundtrack as we speak).

So basically the game is built around fucking tablets. Once you know this, the shit save system and the entirely click-driven GUI (there's no keyboard hotkeys whatsoever) makes sense. The GUI can be overly sensitive since it's designed for touchscreen, thus you have the "force double-clicking" checkbox in the Options.
Oh what's that you say, optional high res textures and a map editor? TOTALLY OPTIMISED PC PORT, MAN!!!!1111

Man, the ending is pretty damn satisfying for what it is. And I got to knee McKlusky in the face. I can't wait to see the DLC missions.

Ok, I must be completely retarded or something. I can't find anywhere to access cyberspace, the marker just points to the elevator that I can't interact with. There's also some air ducts that look like they're meant to be used as shortcuts but I can't interact with them either.

Found the bloody thing.

In a day or two my little mission should be up and running on steam works entitled "Old Habits Die Hard", and is decker focused, with gameplay centering on hacking and shooting. Simple for a first map.
Does have a side quest or two also. Be sure to look for the little System Shock in-jokes about the place.

Geez. A day or two? How long have you been working on it? I've been banging out my campaign for about 3 days now, and I've only got two scenes built and a handful of scripts.
icemann on 1/8/2013 at 16:36
Well for the initial version of it, it is only the one scene but it's a pretty big map of within an apartment complex, with the initial goal to hack into a database and steal data which then leads to a need to escape the place, with optional goals of hacking into additional systems for financial gain, see top secret reports etc.
All that's left currently is the finalization of the final required hacking run (nearly done with that), and then actually setting up the initial hacking run, dialog to go with that etc since all of my work so far has been on the escape side of it.
Rest is all in place and working fine. Though I've been the only one testing it so far, so time will tell what people think of it.
Been working on it since Monday. It's aimed at slightly above new decker characters with a karma requirement of 50+ with the expectation that they already have a cyberdeck + some sort of weapon since their are several battles throughout both in and out of cyberspace.

Ice, I've got an idea. Once you're done with your mission, you wanna help me out with mine? I've been converting an old idea to work in the Shadowrun universe, and I could use the assistance if you're up for it.
icemann on 1/8/2013 at 17:41
Sure thing no worries. Been learning as I go with it + watching the tutorials that harebrained put up for working out some of the stuff. The rest I figured out along the way. Would have been nice to put in custom music (I'd have put in the matrix/cyberspace music from the SNES game) but apparently that's no doable in the editor at present.

If your looking for a laugh have a look at the "Chapter 1: My New Room" mission on steamworks. Something is very wrong with the maker of that one.
Renzatic on 1/8/2013 at 21:46
Cool deal. When you're ready, just send me a PM and we'll start working on it.
Right now, the biggest hurdle I'm trying to pass is figuring out the engine's incredibly finicky and rather weird lighting system. I've managed to get some nice results out of it, but it requires so much trial and error to get there...

No, what he is is a brilliant damn bastard.
What's really funny is that I know someone like the main character in that one. You know, you say hey, then they launch off into a tirade about their favorite subject without letting up for hours on end, not letting you get a word in edgewise.
Thanks to him, I know more about The Pixies and The Breeders than I ever wanted to know.
