Hi, i found the Umbra Sword whilst exploring, which was nice. When i picked it up i got a message saying i had found it but i was not on a mission to find it.
Will this affect any future missions?

There is a quest to find it Clavicus Vile will swap it for the Masque of Cavicus Vile, it's one of the Shrine quests. That you've found it before you got the quest shouldn't matter, it's only a one-off mission.

You need to complete the Clavicus Vile quest to do get one of the most bad-ass items in the game later on.. when you have done all the daedric quests..

Refusing to hand over the sword counts towards completition for that purpose.
And beyond completing every other Daedric Shrine quest you need to be at or past a specific point in the MQ. Level 21 may also be required, can't remember for sure.

Fairly sure level 21 is also required. Since most of the shrines require you to be at a decently high lvel anyway (around 18), it shouldn't really matter.
