GTA style whilst within missions. Standard geoscape view when not. I can elaborate further if you'd like further info.

How is this at all a Syndicate game, besides the name on top?
How is Fallout 3?

The same way that GTA 3 (and the later sequels) is to GTA 1 & 2 despite the view change, the game still plays and feels like the games prior as you still do the same things with new additions added.
Note that by plays and feels I'm not meaning the controls (which obviously are quite different) I'm talking about the overall feel of the game.
Fallout 3 feels like a Fallout game.
This new "Syndicate" game doesn't feel like a game in the universe that it is so named.

10:03 - "Many enemies in the game have shields which need to be breached before they can be taken out" - When the fuck was that in the other games.
Well, I'm pretty sure there was one in the first game and one in the second game, so ... probably those.

Thoughts after watching the 10 minute video:
6:24 - Hacking turrets to attack enemies. That's more Bioshock / Deus Ex again.
9:21 - "In addition to suicide I now have the ability to persuade an enemy to fight by my side" - So you do it by hacking into someones head and NOT through using a Persuadertron? Gah . How in the fuck is this Syndicate. Your not even doing the gameplay right. Grrr.
10:03 - "Many enemies in the game have shields which need to be breached before they can be taken out" - When the fuck was that in the other games. Gah. Their just making this up as they go along. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't even played the other games.
What's the point in attacking things that would actually make it slightly more interesting than a regular shooter.
If they made a shooter than was "true" to the original, then you would burst fire your minigun, watch the enemy fall down, get up and go at you again. Repeat until they are dead.

If it were true to the way I remember it I wouldn't even be able to see the enemy as I would be surrounded by a crowd of 50 persuaded civilians running around picking up guns. We would then all attempt to get into the same car before driving off and running over half of the remaining civilians.
I loved the original (although I didn't take to the sequel) but it's inevitable that some things need to change. The biggest issue I have is that in the original I felt like a powerful corporate executive in control of some underlings. Controlling one of those employees directly looks like it will have a completely different atmosphere.

You just persuaded me to believe that there is no way they can live up to the original. Didn't remember how awesome that was (coupled with flamethrower :D).
