You already posted this question in the thread for this FM a week ago, no need to make a whole new thread for one question that's already been asked. Just post again in that thread asking for help again, although if no one replied before I'm not sure anyone has the answer. Sounds to me like your Thief install is messed up so you might try a reinstall.

Since nobody else has reported this issue, it's very likely a problem with your Thief installation.
I would recommend creating a fresh install, patching it, and trying again.
