Agreed, we've all seen downwinder's posts on his missing textures many times - I didn't realize he was using a pirated version though. If that's the case, I'd say he can't really complain that things aren't working. I'm sure downwinder is anti-Steam, but you can still get Thief Gold on Gog, DRM free for 10 bucks.

also thief gold is finnaly running perfect,also how do i get thief gold to appear on dark loader it only has a spot for t1,t2,t2x and ss2 ,so i got no idea how a thief gold mission would even appear there i tryed to put thief gold in the t1 slot but it said it was missing thief.exe

just checked darkloader folder and i see one darkloader thing where it showed mission but it was not like the screen shot

if i drop the fan mission into the thief gold fan mission folder within thief gold folder will that work?

It goes under Thief 1, of course. There wouldn't be any reason to have both Thief 1 and Thief Gold installed.

If Darkloader is telling you it can't find Thief.exe, then you've picked the wrong directory.

Here's the Darkloader directory and the file. Remember, Darkloader should be installed separately from your Thief folders, and the FM folder should also be entirely separate:

to fix i just had to use the sub thief gold folder in darkloader not the main folder=not sure why ,and ofcourse i did the change prefix on fan mission to run as a t1 mission,now i can go back and play all the mission i wasent able to due to that problem

so far i got bow upgrade and infinity box and made it to the tomb area then said omg its 100% upside down :P,i am guessing i have to use all the junk item in alturas area on lowest floor on all presure plates to get something?

i was just mad,but to be honest i still think thief 1 was a better game then thief gold

as i started on thief 1 and by the time gold came out and i tryed it i felt the way they changed the order of missions bothered me a lot and yes the 3 extras were decent but did not feel like any of them fit in thief 1 story line

also thief gold graphic are weird to me,seem like everything seems thinner and the colors are more flat

but thank you all again

and the downwinder name is more from how i fit into thief world if it was real

So, on Expert, I've got the bow that allows rope arrows to stick in rock, I've got the heavy heart, I've opened the door that conceals the statue parts, and used those and brought enough other heavy stuff into that area to depress all the weight-responsive floor tiles in the floating statue room. And I have no idea what that achieves. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Look up....at the side walls, notice some wall panels have dropped down causing some stepping stone to appear allowing you to get up to the roof area.

But you may well need more stepping stones, there are 8 pressure plates in this room that active the wall panels, the more you hold down the easier it is to get to the roof space.
