(THIS IS NO LONGER RELEVANT, SCROLL DOWN TO SEE UPDATE)Finally My first release is almost here!!:laff::joke:
So The Title of the mission is "St. Terras Prison"
The Release Date is Late December 2013!! I'm So excited!
I just have to get a few areas done and then maybe put it out for beta testing. But
I'm trying for a 2013 release so I might just test it myself. I know it's not the best way to go
but I just really want it released. It may seem like I'm rushing this but I'm really not because I've been working on this for a while and I am really anticipating it's release.

That obviously didn't come to be but I recently have revived the mission and have started working hard on it again and changing things up with it. It's actually very close to being a completed project. The mission is set to release probably in the next week or so. I can't make any promises though because my computer has been very crappy for the past year and has been acting up with hardware malfunctions and all of that annoying stuff due to its age. But if I can get it done it will be released by early December. I do have a contest mission to do too though but I did get extra time to do that so I think I can finish this in enough time so I have enough time for the contest FM.
The mission will be a medium sized mission with a good amount of exploration and a few confusing areas with a lot of nonlinear things in it. I'm nearly there and can almost release it as an actual relatively good practical FM! :laff:

Just cool! I look forward to your mission. I am willing to translate it into Russian and I will be happy to participate in the beta test. :thumb:

Have it tested by as many different operating systems as possible, hopefully with different Video Cards as well.
Good luck on your release!

Releasing a mission without beta testing is not advisable at all. If you rush it now, you'll regret it later.

I've never beta tested a map before, but I'd like to do it for your map. Sounds like fun.

Never, ever rely on your own beta. You will miss things and it will be embarrassing.
Please understand that the testing team will try and "break" your mission to make sure nothing can go wrong when it's released to the public. They will do things that make no sense. They will climb into places you never thought of going.
The biggest problem with a self-test, is since you know where everything is, you will generally follow the bread crumbs, so to speak, and ignore the rest. Since the beta team doesn't know your mission, they will carefully inspect EVERYTHING.
The relationship between you and the beta team can sometimes be one of love and hate, but it's well worth the pain, trust me.

Be smart. Beta test your mission. It doesn't matter how long you've been working on it - if you release without testing, you're rushing.
Without a beta test, there will inevitably be bugs that will need to be fixed. Then we'll end up with version 1.01, version 1.02, version 1.03, version 1.04, version 1.05...
This is EXTREMELY annoying for hosting sites, i.e. ME.
Be smart. Beta test your mission.
