Never, ever rely on your own beta. You will miss things and it will be embarrassing.
Please understand that the testing team will try and "break" your mission to make sure nothing can go wrong when it's released to the public. They will do things that make no sense. They will climb into places you never thought of going.
The biggest problem with a self-test, is since you know where everything is, you will generally follow the bread crumbs, so to speak, and ignore the rest. Since the beta team doesn't know your mission, they will carefully inspect EVERYTHING.
The relationship between you and the beta team can sometimes be one of love and hate, but it's well worth the pain, trust me.

Be smart. Beta test your mission. It doesn't matter how long you've been working on it - if you release without testing, you're rushing.
Without a beta test, there will inevitably be bugs that will need to be fixed. Then we'll end up with version 1.01, version 1.02, version 1.03, version 1.04, version 1.05...
This is EXTREMELY annoying for hosting sites, i.e. ME.
Be smart. Beta test your mission.
Yeah I think I should Beta Test it because it's actually now that I think of it bad to rush it because I want this to be a good first release and to not mess anything up that I will regret.;)

I, too, am registered on Shalebridge and would be happy to test your mission whenever you are ready to beta-test. :)

I'm always up to test missions, especially if they're for Thief Gold.

I will be happy to help test your first fm SneakyGuy, and I am registered at Shalebridge too! Is this NewDark V.1.21 ?
When you are ready for testing, come back to this thread and contact everyone here who has offered to test.
Then, if you need more testers, create a new thread and ask for more beta testers. You can also leave a request at Shalebridge, in the"Looking for a beta tester?" thread: (

It is NewDark V.1.21. Do you mean PM the mission? Because I know how to do that.

Quick little update and news on mission :laff:
I am getting very close to the final stages of building my mission and so I thought I would share a few things. (These are not spoilers, they are just pointer outer kind of things)
So the name may seem that it's just a prison mission but it's more than that, but I said no spoilers so I'm not telling anyone what themes are in this mission.
Also I have one more preview screenie that hope fully doesn't give away too much:ebil:

http://th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2013/355/f/d/dump031_by_nintendofan2013-d6ys6wr.pngI'm aiming for a january 20 release date, but I shouldn't get too ambitious(I've already done that enough earlier this year ) But it should be january release. As soon as I finish building the mission I will be putting it out for Beta Testing. Hopefully it doesn't take too long and that nothing too bad goes wrong :eww: But hopefully everything goes well with this release.
