Greetings,
I am Kestril. I am your king. I mean uh...damn. I shouldn't have said that. Um, I have recently attained a copy of Deus Ex. I find the game to be as addictive as Thief and Thief 2. I am not very far in it yet. Possible due to the glitches in my f****** computer. Or perhaps it is due to the fact that I'm playing four games at once. I don't know. I like the game though. Most envigorating.

Welcome, your royal hi--- Um, no, I ain't falling for that one, sire. Wha...damn!
I finished the game a couple of weeks ago, and I plan on going back into it again in another few weeks. I'll probably fall into the same alignment (stealth, minimal kills) because it's my nature, while trying some new strategies. It's a flat out beautiful game not necessarily just in terms of looks and design, but also in depth and breadth. What other game forces you to have profound philisophical and moral discussions with NPCs?

It is a fabulous game. At least the part I've seen. I am also a Thief nut, I have almost beaten Unreal Tournament, I am design a level for Starcraft, and I am part way through Myth: the Fallen Lords.

I bought the DX GotY edition this summer and started playing it at the end of August. I'm just at the end of the Templar Cathedral and am still riveted by the game ( I have to ration the time I spend on it so I can make it last a bit longer as there's a long wait for sequels) and will go back after I finish it to try a different game style, if I can make myself get out there shooting instead of sniping from the shadows! I also loved playing Thief 1 & 2 - which has actually helped with DX - and No One Lives Forever which is great fun, (also online).

i've had DX for about 10 months and have finished it 4 times and still looking forward to the next... so there's no need further explaining that it's my definitive favourite game... closely followed by the Thief series ofcourse.
right now, i only have one game installed - Baldur's Gate2, but i haven't played anything for the last week. been too busy with this new superspeedy connection i've got. :)

I know what you guys mean on having to wait for sequels. What I do is play it ascending a difficulty level each time I start over.

i usually do that too. if only DX had more difficulty settings, because the first time i played it on Normal, the 2nd on Hard and the last 2 on Realistic, but there isn't really a big difference between them. System Shock1 and Thief are the perfect examples of how to implement difficulty levels. :)
