Well...
I've been working on a new Thief informational site for a little while now. Basically it's a description of my attempt to Perfect Thief/Supreme Ghost thief gold and later on thief 2. I haven't completed more than the first 3 missions, but the rest will follow. :) Provided by me are walkthroughs, hand-drawn maps, loot-lists and screen captures of vital areas in the missions. The site also includes an easy-to-use menu.
I hope this site will be of help to some ghosters out there, or thief players in general. First time visitors please read the 'About Site'-page. Enjoy!
UPDATE 12/12/15:
My more than a decade old website has moved!
Klatremus' Thief Gold & Thief 2 Supreme Ghosting Site is now found at (
www.klatremus.org) www.klatremus.org.
Hope to see you there :D

That's nice! :thumb: I really like those maps.

Very nice with only one complaint. I think the navigation system is a little hard since you have to start back at the root every time you miss. Maybe it's just a personal problem, but I don't much care for it.

Glad you like it! :D I never even thought about that as a potential problem, Yos. I didn't have any problems clicking in the correct field. If it's a common error, perhaps I should expand each field or modify the menu a little...
Thought about adding write-ups for conversations and comments (by garrett mostly) overheard in the missions. Some are easily missed, e.g. the servants chatting about the river/drought in 'Lord Bafford's Manor'.

Keep up the good work. :thumb: We need walkthroughs for all the tricky missions.

Have just finished the 5th mission: 'Thieves' Guild'. You can find it (
http://home.online.no/~ajnilsen/hn/hn.htm) here. Uploaded walkthrough, maps (lots of them) and a loot list. Due to the release of both TDS and Doom 3 this release came a little behind schedule, but to my defense, this mission isn't exactly the smallest. I figure the maps will prove useful to some, they sure did to me! :)
Well, there you are. Go enjoy!

great site - this may inspire me to try to complete the bastard of a mission the is Thieves Guild again. I gave up when trying to mantle into the windows of the guard post at the casino in order to get loot/items.
Proper ghosting is impossible on this level, which is a shame - you have to use water arrows on the torches in the casino. Anyway I think getting everything is more important than not using items.
One thing though, do you think you could add some keys to your brilliant maps? I have no idea what half of the different colour splodges and stuff on them mean :D
klatremus on 13/9/2004 at 23:03
Well, most of the maps' key symbols are described at the end of the 'about site' page accessible from the menu. :) Sometimes I have used different colors simply to tell one patrol pattern from another. If you are referring to the colored dots in Reuben's basement, their purpose are described clearly in the text for Mission 5.
Ghosting this mission was fun, you should definitely give it a try! :D

Yer, sorry I haven't read it really, but from what I saw it looked good :)
With ghosting Guild, the "less fundamental" ghosting rules need to be broken for it to work, but at least it isnt that bad.
My main priority is to not be seen/heard and to get all loot/items/food etc. Can't break those rules :D
I managed to get the meat at the start without alerting the stupid servant girl, heh. Mantling onto the counter and edging forward. Then I sneaked back out the back door and entered through the front way - It seem less sneaky to go in the front, but it is the only way to ghost :( so never mind hey.
I allow noise distractions if neccessary (but not making noise, only if it is intended for a distraction) for example on cragscleft in order to get the hammer at the table thing with the novice and priest.
Haven't played the game in ages though - like I said I got stuck at the casino bit (after begrudginally water arrowing the torches). I'll give the game another try when I get some work done :)
I was thinking about making a site like yours for a while, but I never got round to it (didn't know how to implement design ideas into an actual site). Anyway, looks like I don't need to now :) Yours looks very good and detailed, the kind of thing I was aiming for. The fact that you have maps is something I hadn't thought of, heh. You have good ideas, well done and all.
Cheers,
Daniel
