As you all know, Deus Ex 2 is going to be reality. So what new weapons do we want there? Here's mine:
UZI: Pistol-class automatic gun! A must.
Minigun: So what if I just want the biggest friggin' machinegun available?
Hmmm.... that's it for me. Does anyone else wish to continue?

Hey man. You should also put this into the Deus Ex 2 thread that i started so that we can keep track of it.
I like the weapons you have.
I would also like to see Pistols and Uzi's akimbo. Now who wouldn't like to see that?

Me. Done too much. No longer has that "John Wo" feeling.

Ditto.. I always saw JC as an inhumanly precise killing machine (think Robocop), not really the type to go akimbo... that's just sloppy.

Can anyone think of any reason why we weren't permitted to put a silencer on the auto pistol, in Deus Ex(1)?
I think either the heavy weapons should be smaller, or we should have more inventory space. The rocket(GEP?) gun took up a third of my inventory, and lack of space drove me nuts. What are we going to do- not carry a heavy weapon? The game's a shooter, isn't it? I needed the GEP for big bots, which means I never got to use the flamethrower or plasma rifle. Grrrrrr...
I would only agree that we need an uzi type pistol if there was some space advantage, otherwise the current autorifle works fine.
One weapon I do not want changed at all is the basic shotgun, which I think is the best looking shotgun I have seen in gaming (well, I care about that sort of thing).

It just doesn't do as much damage (a touch of realism there, given what a silencer does to a bullet's velocity).

I want to see a crossbow bolt with a wire attached (like the rope arrow in Thief).
And quit complaining about inventory space. Gordon Freeman may be able to carry 2000 pounds of artillery, but the people who made Deus Ex thought a tad bit of reality was in order (although I do wonder how he fits a GEP gun in his coat).

It is easy for me to forget that the "stealth pistol" is even in the game. Its damage stat is so low, I never wanted to carry it.

I just wonder how a 7.62 FMJ round does so little damage...
Forget about the minigun...not even remotely realistic (don't say "what about the plasma rifle?" I mean it's physically impossible for a person to hold, fire, and aim a minigun).
More then any weapon, I'd like to see some hand-to-hand combat in Deus Ex 2. Sneek up behind someone and strangle them. Punch out a guard that doesn't expect it (as you weren't considered dangerous because you aren't holding a weapon). Also, pocket picking might be nice.
