Eh. After twilight princess and MP3, I'm fairly convinced nintendo has as much trouble as anybody properly transitioning their games to a wii-mote control system. Can't say I'm excited.

TP worked fine with the wii-mote. I played both versions and they both seemed pretty even, but Zelda has never been a game about super-fast reflexes anyways.
I was pretty disappointed with TP as a whole. I don't know why, I just didn't really dig the game. The storyline fell flat and was uninteresting and the pacing and gameplay were all over the place.
I also thought it was weird that everyone continuously commented that TP was the next "mature" Zelda game; I didn't get that vibe at all in either the story or the graphics department. In fact, I actually wish they had stuck with the graphical style from that first, original trailer for the game instead of what they ended up with.
P.S. the big ordeal atm is that Link doesn't have a sword in the pic.

Wind Waker is another game that I should add to the "Games that clicked with you, but not others" thread.
The dungeons were too few and really fucking easy; the sailing was incredibly tedious. But I still had a lot of fun with Wind Waker, the final art direction was utterly gorgeous, particularly the facial animations. Still nowhere near as good as Ocarina nor AttP.

I hate to say it, but I can't work up any enthusiasm over this. Judging from that shot, it's taking cues from Twilight Princess' "darker, grittier, more mature" art style. And just like TP, it'll feel less like a Zelda game and more like another cheesy Square Enix reject.
I miss the Majora's Mask and Windwaker Zeldas. :(

Ocarina of Time was phenominal for its time, and while it hasn't been surpassed in terms of innovation, IMO as an overall game Windwaker takes the cake.
It also happens to be the first Zelda game where I actually looked forward to the dungeons. In OoT, I actually dreaded the monotonous mazes/fetch quests that they were. At least in Windwaker they were creative enough and the gameplay in them were solid enough for me to enjoy them.

Windwaker was cool, but I just don't like Zelda games anymore. I can dig the 2-D ones, but the 3-D era killed my interest in the series as a whole.

The chick is Master Sword. Okay? Cool. Glad we had this conversation.

How stupid.
