It's not a ww2 shooter in that you're not fighting in ww2, you're fighting occultists during ww2

While I understand the distinction they are trying to make, I still see it as their marketing department's desperate attempt to prevent their game being lumped in with the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series. Let's face it, the general setting and enemies of the game will facilitate the comparison no matter what they say. While Raiders wasn't a World War II movie, I did find that the backdrop of the rise of Nazi Germany to be an integral component of the film. If your making a game where Nazis and Himmler are the primary antagonists, I think you should expect to be labeled a World War II game and not go around correcting people.

Right, because Indiana Jones had Nazis and so it features Indy storming Omaha Beach.

You are being incredibly obtuse. That wasn't what I was saying at all.

That's irrelevant. I'm merely pointing out that it's as unfair to compare Wolfenstein with Call of Duty as it is to compare Indiana Jones with Saving Private Ryan. I don't care who's saying it. Anybody who does say it is a moron and Wolfenstein's developers are right in trying to make the distinction.

I'd buy it.

LOL. If you can play Q4 or D3 on high, then you'll likely be able to run Wolf5D with zero hassle. Especially so with a title developed for X360, which is the equivalent to a high end PC from 2005. Carmack engines are super scalable and well optimised.

(

As Wolf3D was my first real foray into PC gaming and RtCW was the first "advanced" game I was able to play at the time after upgrading my then-shitbox of a PC, I'm pretty much obliged to pick this game up. I just hope it doesn't have ammosink bosses like RtCW did.
