Kewl! :D
Tom Hall is my all-time gaming hero, and I would probably sell a kidney to have an Anachronox 2.

Why can't they just make another Commander Keen game? They could easily make a side-scrolling platformer that was on digital distribution only, i.e. put it on Steam, Impulse, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Apple store. HD remakes of Keen 4-6 would be welcome as well.

Because no one fucking plays 2D platformers anymore.

Yeah, that's why they've been highly successful on the aforementioned digital distribution platforms. Idiot. I.e. Braid.
Anyway I meant to say side-scrolling platformers in my last post.

I.e. Braid which sold how many copies? 100k? 200k? Laughable.

Yeah, if we were dealing with multi-million AAA blockbusters, 100/200k would be an incredible flop. Considering that modern side-scrollers would be relatively cheap to produce (Braid cost $100,000, IIRC), then they could easily double or triple their budget.

Braid sold over 55000 the first week. And it's been out for over a year. Keep trying, Koki, you might eventually stumble upon a point!

Speaking of sales numbers, where can I find a reliable site w/sales figures for games?

Money! Awesome, great for... whoever the fuck made Braid. Still doesn't change the fact that 200k is laughable compared to AAA what, 10 millions? Which was my point, you know, when I said "No one plays 2D platformers any more"?
