Blue Shift is an addon, but they later released standalone versions that did not include the original halflife. They are still addons, mission packs, etc... they just come with the required files now.
Nedan, trying to redefine an english term is not an opinion. ET is a stand-alone game. End of story.

"Nedan, trying to redefine an english term is not an opinion."
Stating that Spear of Destiny is a mission pack & not a sequel is an opinion... my opinion.
"ET is a stand-alone game. End of story."
HL's ending sucked. End of Story. <--- Yep... it still sounds worthless even when reversed.
You like giving out worthless information, don't you? Me an Elenkis were talking about Spear of Destiny after all... not ET. But I guess since you're not really reading anything... this should be expected.

I'm having an incredibly hard time believing that a thread that started with a 1st post as incoherant as this thread did is now on it's 2nd page.
You just never know...

But I guess since you're not really reading anything... this should be expected. Yes, I skimmed, but my points still stand. Spear of Destiny is a stand-alone game. It's a fact. Not an opinion.
In your HL example, that is your opinion because you have expressed a personal feeling towards it. You feel it sucked (as did many other people apparently). That is your opinion. A mission pack is just that. A pack of missions. It is an addition to a game. Fact.
You may feel it's a poor game, or a game that lacks significant content, but that would be your opinion, generated by comparing to other products.
Back on subject, I'm fed-up with ET. It's far too much like Counter-Strike and it's annoying me to no end.

"Yes, I skimmed, but my points still stand."But when people skim through posts... it sometimes ends up making their comments or replies to it look foolish or dumb (sometimes being the keyword).
"Spear of Destiny is a stand-alone game. It's a fact. Not an opinion."And can you kindly tell me where exactly I might have actually denied this? Spear of Destiny is a stand-alone product... I fully agree with this. That wasn't my argument/debate/opinion though.
"A mission pack is just that. A pack of missions. It is an addition to a game. Fact."And what is your feelings towards Half-Life: Blue Shift? And remember... it's also a stand-alone product & its advertised as an expansion to Half-Life (it does say "Complete Expansion Set" on the (
http://www.mobygames.com/game/covers/gameCoverId,7679/gameId,4376/) box & on GearBox's (
http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/projects_hlblueshift.html) website after all).
"You may feel it's a poor game, or a game that lacks significant content, but that would be your opinion, generated by comparing to other products."Yes. Finally. Thank you. We have now established that this is only my opinion. Nevermind the fact that this is what I've been saying the whole damn time. That it's too weak to be a sequel
in
my
humble
opinion. That's why I called it an expansion/mission pack. And all of that is only my opinion on the matter. So what exactly is your point?

Andy Nonymous has released an SDL version of his 'Mac-enstein Second Encounter' mod. This new version is enhanced by the use of Ripper's Wolf4SDL engine, having improved digitized sounds and higher video resolution, plus a new color palette. It allows the music to be played on Windows ME and XP without the need for DOSBox or VDMSound. It is also Vista compatible.

Hmm I smell old cheese.
Anyway. Thats pretty old news. Theres like a zillion Wolf3D remakes out these days. Best ones were done in the Doom engine.
june gloom on 14/6/2008 at 19:02
Yeah, too bad you need DOSbox to run them properly these days. The special .exes are uberspecific versions of the Boom source port and Wolfendoom won't just run in anything.

So guys is Wolf: ET canon or not? I must know.
Edit: Oh shit I had no idea how old this topic was, it's about Return to Castle Wolfenstein! Ahahahaha, that's great.
